Believe it or not this painting was originally a failed attempt at a cherry blossom. I had spent days paint oversized cherry blossoms but was never quite satisfied with the results. One day in a whirl of inspiration I smeared it in blush pink paint, layers and layers. After they had all dried I saw a butterfly in the textures that were created from every layer. Naturally a girl with a glitter obsession saw the opportunity for gold. Here are the results. Framed in an antique white frame. Measures 18×22″

Each piece is structurally sound and built to last a lifetime. I have an obsession with creating high quality and one of a kind pieces. Each one of us is a unique, beautiful individual and we deserve to own & wear pieces that reflect that. This piece in particular has baguettes, oval and brilliant cut crystals…mostly very clear and sparkly some have aged and developed the tell tale greying of color… I for one love the authentic patina, it adds character and charm to the piece. Crowns are one of the most ancient ways of ‘adorning’ oneself. “A crown is the traditional symbolic form of headgear worn by a monarch or by a deity, for whom the crown traditionally represents power, legitimacy, victory, triumph, honour, and glory, as well as immortality, righteousness, and resurrection. In art, the crown may be shown being offered to those on Earth by angels. Apart from the traditional form, crowns also may be in the form of a wreath and be made of flowers, oak leaves or thorns and be worn by others, representing what the coronation part aims to symbolize with the specific crown. In religious art, a crown of stars is used similarly to a halo. Crowns worn by rulers often contain jewels.Their use has been used by almost every culture in every part of the globe.” -Wikipedi However you like to think of wearing a crown…. it is one of my most favorite items to make and wear.
